3D Prints For Sale!
I am dipping my toe into selling 3D printed items! I plan to focus on action figure and 1:1 cosplay accessories. If you have an idea of something you want made, let's discuss!
These are adult collector items, made to order, which may have minor imperfections that can be manually sanded and/or painted. Please allow time to create your item; a 3D printer moves very slowly!
Items are printed on a Prusa i3 MK2.5 at .20mm and 15% infill, unless otherwise stated or requested, in Overture PETG. PETG is a durable, temperature-resistant material that can be sanded and painted, if you like! Kits will come unassembled, I find superglue works well for assembly, I do NOT recommend hot glue as it cools too quickly and parts don't align well.
Always use safe practices and wear protective equipment when gluing or painting! NEVER use a weapon-like object in a setting where it might be mistaken for a real weapon! NEVER point a laser pointer at any person's or animal's eyes or face!
If you don't live close enough to me to pick up your item, I charge only the actual USPS Priority shipping cost.
The Commander - full size blaster weapon / laser pointer holder!
This is a modification of a project posted to Thingiverse by "seankfields". I've taken their files and made them easier & faster to print.
The Commander is a solid cosplay item with no moving internal parts.
OPTION - I've made an optional modification that allows you to insert a laser pointer! The laser pointer "sleeve" has an internal taper so that as you insert it, the internal diameter narrows and engages the button. That means the pointer is always on! It's designed to stick out some, so that you can pull it back out.
The Commander is shown in a vibrant blue, a black, and a dark blue. I find the dark blue is close to the vintage Kenner blue-black accessory color. I can print it in pretty much any color you want, just ask!
Measures 12" x 6" x 3.5"
Where to get a compatible Laser Pointer
When I started 3D printing, I wanted to make cosplay weapons, like blasters and saber hilts, but I also wanted to give them an extra "wow factor". Hence, I've designed a sleeve so that you can insert a laser pointer!
I'm designing using a commonly available model of laser pointer. You can find these in multiple color options on Amazon and Aliexpress, usually for under five bucks each; they take two AAA batteries. You just have to remove the pocket clip with a pair of pliers, and then it slides right in to the sleeve.
I'm not going to put links here because they are often available from various different sellers, but if you search for "laser pointer" on Amazon or Aliexpress, you can't miss them.
